How to Live Before You Die----Embracing Life to the Fullest

Join us for the next Lifetree Small Group Video Session

Wednesday, October 3, 2018 @ 7:00pm in the Fellowship Hall

Refreshments will be provided.

The video is called:

How to Live Before You Die----Embracing Life to the Fullest

This session features the true story of an oncologist who interacts with cancer patients on a daily basis, encouraging them to do more than survive and to choose to thrive. We will consider what it means to live well when we or those we love are suffering. We will tackle questions such as: How can you live well even in the midst of hardship? Where is God when you're experiencing suffering? And how can you come alongside those who are dealing with cancer?

We will ponder compassion, facing fears, embracing hardship, and encouragement.

Please see the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the narthex or call the office at 247-3437.

Adult Sunday School Discussion

Beginning on Sunday, September 9th, Pastor Paul will lead a series of classes looking at how God calls people to do ministry. People like Moses, Abram and Sarai, Samuel, Paul and Mary all heard and responded to God’s call. You and I are also called by God in various ways to undertake various activities in our world and in our lives.

Some of the questions we will consider during our discussions include:

 Where is God present and what is God doing?

 What is God calling them to do or accomplish?

 How does prayer effect the process?

 What is God doing right now in my life and the life of the community of faith?

 What is God calling TELC to do and be?

 How has God called me and how have I responded?

Often, when we speak of God’s call, we use it to refer to people in the scriptures, our pastors or other church professionals. But God’s call is extended to all of us as we live our lives as faithful disciples. So…you are invited to participate as we discuss God’s call in our congregation and our lives today
